Oberstdorf · Workation

Work with a mountain view.

Longer stays when Oberstdorf is quiet — the place where the after-work hour starts a hundred steps up the road at the lift. No car needed, your own kitchen, three holiday apartments under one roof.

Why here

Quiet, off-season

01

The off-season

A workation pays off when the place is almost yours — spring and autumn, when the paths are empty. Stay weeks, not days; ask Ute directly about terms for longer stays.

02

Lift after work

Close the laptop and you reach the Nebelhornbahn in a few minutes on foot — about 360 metres. In summer (May to November) the mountain-lift pass is included with your stay.

For working

The workspace

01

The Catarina

The Catarina has its own room with a desk and chair — the clear workation pick in the house. Plus a sun room and east-facing balcony for breaks with morning sun and a mountain view.

02

Wi-Fi & space

Wi-Fi in all three apartments, 50 to 100 Mbit down — enough for video calls and ordinary remote work. In the Stillach and the Hannes you set up at the dining table or in the living area; only the Catarina has the separate study.

The apartments

Room to separate

01

By setup

On your own and focused in the Hannes. As a couple in the Catarina with its sun room and east balcony, or in the Stillach with two rooms across 120 m² — space enough to keep work and downtime apart.

02

Made for longer

Set up for self-catering — a full kitchen in the Stillach and Catarina, a kitchenette in the Hannes. The Catarina has a washing machine, ideal for weeks rather than days. See the apartments →

A week here

Workday, then evening at the lift

01

The workday

Mornings at the desk in Catarina, east balcony for the coffee. Wi-Fi throughout the house, 50 to 100 Mbit.

Step out at midday — the centre is seven minutes away. Carry on in the afternoon, no commute, no noise.

02

The weekend

Laptop closed, and the mountains start at the door. In summer the cable-car pass is included with the stay (May to November).

Routes for free days are on the activities page — on foot or by bike.

Great internet for working remotely, and everything around is within walking distance. The Allgäu-Walser pass is incredibly handy for public transport and the cable cars. I'll happily come back.
