The legally binding version of this privacy notice is in German, as required by GDPR for German-operated services. The summary below is for orientation — the German text takes precedence.

What we collect

The website nh40.house does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics. The site is statically hosted and stores no personal data of visitors.

If you contact us by email or through the contact form, your message and email address are stored only as long as needed to respond — typically deleted after the inquiry is closed.

Request form

The request form on nh40.house composes an email from your entries (apartment, travel dates, number of guests, name, email, optional phone and message) in your own mail program. The data leaves your device only when you send the email yourself. We store the entries afterwards as described under What we collect.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures).

Newsletter

The request form contains an optional checkbox for the NH40 returning-guest newsletter. If you actively tick it, we additionally store your email address for the newsletter list. The newsletter is sent at most once per year.

You can withdraw your consent at any time — a short reply to any newsletter email, or a message to ute@nh40.house, is enough. We will remove your address from the list immediately.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

Fonts

This website uses the typefaces Inter and Instrument Serif. The fonts are served locally from this website's own server and are not loaded from any external provider. No connection to third-party servers is made and no IP address is transmitted to third parties.

Weather data

The activities page shows the current weather in Oberstdorf. To do so, your browser session calls the free weather interface Open-Meteo (Open-Meteo, Switzerland) at api.open-meteo.com when the page loads. Your IP address is transmitted to Open-Meteo in the process. Open-Meteo sets no cookies and, by its own account, performs no tracking. The transfer is encrypted. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a functional weather display).

Bookings

Bookings for Stillach and Hannes are processed through Airbnb. Bookings for Catarina are processed through the agency Haus + Heim Ferienwohnungen Oberstdorf. Both have their own privacy policies that apply at the moment of booking.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact form.
